So Ugly, She SCREAMED - Why Skye was Redesigned
In my extensive site testing of two people who walked by my desk, they confirmed my beliefs.
I know our best products and pictures were not showcased. I knew navigation need some work.
Coming from a million years of experience in jewelry photography, our site was fugly. That was my professional diagnosis.
Taking the lead from our most popular Google ads, I decided when people clicked on Top 10 Hot New Toe Rings, they should end up there. People could end up where they thought they were going AND our top 10 products would be showcased for every category. Groundbreaking concepts for sure. What can I say, as a newbie to ecommerce, sometimes it takes a while for common sense to sink in.
So, although always a work in progress, I am now excited and amused by our fun, visually stimulating, easier to navigate, SkyeSterling.com.
Personally, I smile as I click around the site now, and go there on a regular basis for no reason at all. Before...not so much.
